Anovelfluorescentfilmsensorwith2,2´:5´,2´´:5´´,2´´´-quaterthiophene(4T)asasensingelementwasfabricatedinamonolayermanner.1Contactangle,XPSandsteady-statefluorescencemeasurementsdemonstratedthat4Twassuccessfullyimmobilizedonthesubstratesurface.Theemissionofthefilmisnotstableinair,anditdecreasesalongwithincreasingscanningnumber.ContinuousUVlightirradiationinoxygenatmospheremadethefluorophoreturntoanewstableoligothiophenederivative.
