毛发型聚合物微球由于表面特异的性能而倍受关注。本文首先通过无皂乳液聚合制备亚微米级单分散性种子;再利用半连续饥饿补加末端含双键的光引发剂,通过共聚法将其局载化到微球表面;最后洁净微球并加入所需功能单体,紫外光引发聚合以制得大分子刷状表面。采用上述三步法成功制备了以聚苯乙烯(PS)为核,聚丙烯酸(PAA)、聚N-异丙基丙烯酰胺(PNIPAm)或聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)为大分子刷的单分散性微球。
通过动态光散射(DLS)、透射电镜(TEM)、原子力扫描仪(AFM)等多种手段观察到微球表面化学接枝的大分子刷,长度可达100nm以上。同时,还通过水解预先设计在光引发剂上的酯基以裁剪下表面的聚丙烯酸大分子刷,并利用红外光谱(IR)和凝胶色谱(GPC)分别对大分子刷进行了表征。

Goal of the work is to prepare a hairy polymer particles. Firstly, the monodisperse PS particles are synthesized by emulsifier-free polymerization. Secondly, photo-initiators with double bond and ester group are attached on the surface of the PS particles by copolymerization using “starve” addition with styrene. Finally, we successfully obtain the uniform polymer particles with PS core and macromolecular brushes, such as PAA, PMMA and PNIPAm etc. Moreover, The resulting brushes are characterized by DLS, TEM, AFM, IR and GPC. |
