Aseriesofhyperbranchedpoly(amine-ester)polyolweresynthesizedbythepolycondensationofN,N-diethylol-3-amine-methylpropionate(preparedbytheMichaeladditionreactionofmethylacrylatewithdiethanolamine)asanAB2-typemonomerandtrimethylolpropaneasthecoremoietyusingp-toluenesulfonicacidasacatalystinaone-stepmeltreactionprocedure.TheobtainedmonomerandpolymerswerecharacterizedbyFTIRand1H-NMRspectroscopy.Itwassuggestedthatthehyperbranchedpoly(amine-ester)polyolwasformedviaamechanismofacombinationoftransesterificationandadditionreactions.Thesolubilityandsurfaceactivityinaqueoussolutionofthepolymerswerealsoexamined.PA6microfiber/PUcompositematerialsweretreatedbyhyperbranchedpolymer,andthenthegaspermeability,watervaporpermeabilityandmoistureabsorptionwerestudied.Whenthedosageofdyewas5%andthedosageofhyperbranchedpolymerwas10%,PA6microfiber/PUcompositematerials’watervaporpermeabilityandmoistureabsorptionwere0.5254mg/10cm2·24hand0.0467mg/10cm2·24h,respectively,whichwasincreasedby15%and35%comparedtotheuntreatedmaterials,butthedosageofhyperbranchedpolymerhadlittleinfluenceongaspermeabilityofsyntheticleather.SEMresultsshowedthatPA6microfiber/PUcompositematerialstreatedbyhyperbranchedpolymerwereincompact.
