TheworkdevelopedanewprocessinrecoveringthehighpureTPAfromPEThydrolyzinginordertorecycleit.Purifyingthemotherliquidhasbeenresearched.TheresultshasshownthatthecharactersofrecoveredTPAwasimprovedfirstlybythemethodofcoagulationsedimentationwhenthepHofwastewateris7-8undertheexistenceof300-400mg/lAl2(SO4)318H2O,andthenmuchmorebythemethodofcarbonabsorptionwhentheamountofactivatedcarbonis1.5g/lin20minincubation.Thepurityofitbasedoncarboxylcontentwasfoundtobe99.3%.ThisTPAwhenesterifiedandpolycondensedwithEGgaveapurewhitepolymerthatshowedanintrinsicviscosity,[η]=0.56dl/g.
