Polyamide6(PA6)1multi-walledcarbonnanotubes(MWNTs)compositefibrousmembraneswerefabricatedbyelectrospinning.Thescanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)showedthatMWNTmodifiedthespinnabilityofthepolymerandthediameterdistributionofthefiberswaschanged.Transmissionelectronmicroscope(TEM)indicatedthattheMWNTswereorientedalongthefiberaxis.TheelectrospunPA6/MWNTscompositefibrousmembraneswereusedtoreinforceandtoughenepoxymatrix.Theirmorphology,thermalproperties,electricalresistivity,thermalconductivityandmechanicalpropertieswereinvestigated.TheresultsshowedthattheincorporationofPA6/MWNTsfiberseffectivelyimprovedthethermalstability,electricalresistivityandthermalconductivityofepoxymatrix.Incomparisonwiththepureepoxymatrix,theelectrospunPA6/MWNTscompositefibrousmembranescausedanincreasebothinthetensilestrengthandelongation-at-break.WhentheepoxymatrixwasfilledwiththeelectrospunPA6/MWNTscompositefibrousmembranescontaininglwt%MWNTs,itstensilestrengthandelongationatbreakwereincreasedt013.59+0.31MPaand(20.55+1.53)%from4.01+1.29MPaand(13.63+3.41)%ofthepureepoxymatrix.
