Mutil-drugdeliverysystemcanimprovetheefficiencyofthetreatmentofdiseases.Inthiswork,amicroemulsionsupramoleculargeI(MSG)wasdevelopedasdualdrugreleasedeliverysystem.Themicroemulsionconsistsofisopropylmyristate,Tween80,propyleneglycolandPBS;andl,3:2,4-di-O-benzylidene-D-sorbitol(DBS)wasusedforgelationthemicroemulsion.5-aminosalicylicacid(5-ASA)andcurcumin(Cur)wereemployedasdual-drugmodelfortheinvestigationofproteinmodulatedreleasebehaviorinthisdeliverysystem.DSCanddyesolubilitytestsshowedthatthepreparedmicroemulsionisbicontinuous;SEMimagesrevealedthatMSGhasathree-dimensionalnetwork.RheologicalmeasurementsrevealedthatMSGexhibitsawell-developednetworkandtheadditionofdualdrugexertsnoeffectonthetheologicalpropertiesofMSG.Theresultsindicatedthatthedualdrugreleasebehaviorcanbemodulatedbybovineserumalbumin(BSA).AtpH7.4,BSArestrainedthereleaseofdualdrug.WhenDBSconcentrationisl.5wt%,atpH7.4,thereleaseratesof5-ASAandCurdecreased14.46%and3%withthepresenceof0.5mg/mLBSArespectively.However,inacidicmedia(pHl.2)andweakacidicmedia(pH5.8andpH6.8),BSAcouldpromotethereleaseratesofdualdrug.AtpH5.8,thereleaseratesof5-ASAandCurincreased17.08%and7.62%withthepresenceofl.0mg/mLBSArespectively.TheseresultsrevealedthatMSGasaquicklyresponsetotheenvironmentstimulationdeliverysystemshaspotentialapplicationinmutil-drugrelease.
