Thispaperstudiedtheaxialtensilepropertiesofthemultidirectionalfilamentwoundtubes(MFWT)bothintheoryandexperiment.BasedontheClassicalLaminateTheory,themechanicalanalysismodelofthetubeswasestablishedandimplementedbytheprogramofMatlablanguage,fromwhichtheaxialtensilestrengthwaspredicted.Thenthespecimenswithdifferentparameterswerefabricatedandtestedunderaxialtensileloadrespectively.Thetheoreticalmodelmettheexperimentalresultswell.Furthermore,thetestresults,thestress-straincurveandthefailureformwereanalyzed,whichshowedthattheaxialpropertiesoftheMFWTwereobviouslystrengthenedwiththeincorporationoftheaxialreinforcement.
