Ag/AgCI/Ti02nanotubesarrayselectrodewithenhancedvisible-lightphotoactivityissynthesizedbyatwo-stepapproachincludinganelectrochemicalanodizationprocessandanelectrodepositionprocesscl].Ag/AgCI/Ti02isusedasaneffectivevisible-light-driven(VLD)photoelectrocatalytic(PEC)electrodeforthedegradationofmicrocystin-LR(MC-LR).Thereactiveoxidativespecies(ROS)werederivedfromH+ande-inthePECprocess.ThemechanismofthePECdegradationofMC-LRisinvestigatedusingdifferentscavengersandfoundthatthephotogeneratedH+,.OHand02-,arethemajorreactivespeciesforthedegradationofMC-LR.Theeffectoftheoperationalparameters,suchastheinitialpHofisMC-LRandthetypeofanions,isstudiedduringthedegradationprocess.Forthefourchosenanionicelectrolytes,theinfluencesonthedegradationratesdecreaseintheorderofCl->SO~->N03>H2P04.Also,itisfoundthatthepHvalueofsolutionhasanobviousinfluenceonthedegradationofMC-LR,ThedegradationrateofMC-LRincreaseswiththedecreaseofinitialpH,whichwasinagreementwithpreviousresearchc[2].
