Thein-reactoralloyingisotacticpolypropylene(iPP)withpolyolefincopolymers(e.g.,ethyleneandotherα-olefinscopolymer)bysequentialmulti-stagepolymerizationhasbeenprovedsuperiorbothinpolymerpropertiesandinproductioncost.Thepolypropylene/poly(ethylene-co-octene)(iPP/PEOc)in-reactoralloyisoneofin-reactorblendingofiPPandcopolymerofethyleneandoctene,whichisproducedbytwo-stageofpolymerizationprocesswithMgCl2-TiCl4/Et(Ind)2ZrCl2hybridcatalysts.Thein-reactorpreparedPPalloyisamorecomplicatedsystem.However,themechanismsofcrystalnucleationandlamellargrowthintheearliertointermediatephaseseparationstagesfortheiPP/PEOcin-reactoralloysystemhasnotbeenstudiedandreportedsofar.ItisnecessarytostudythecrystallizationkineticsandstructureformationofN-iPP/PEOcalloyinordertobeabletocontrolthefinalpropertiesthroughthecontrolofthestructureandmorphology.
