Inthispaper,Polylactide(PLA)/Starchblendswereobtainedbyextrusionandpressureinducedflow(PIF)deformationprocess,aconstantcompressionatlowtemperaturewithsideconstraint.WaterwasutilizedbeforePIFtomakethestarchshapechangemoreeasily.SEMwasusedtocharacterizethemicrostructureofPLA/starchblendsandtheresultsshowedthatlamellarmicrostructurewasconstructedinallblendsspecimens;theshapeofstarchwaschangedtoroundwhenpressurewasimposedandellipsoidalshapewasobservedwithwaterutilization.TheDSCanalysisshowedthattheblendsprocessedwithpressurehaddifferentcrystallizationpeaktemperaturecomparedtooriginalspecimen,andwaterplaysanirreversibleeffectonblends.
