AnewkindofthermalregulatingfibersbasedonPPandmixtureofmethylstearate(MS)andmethylpalmitate(MP)waspreparedbymeltingspinningmethod.MixtureofMS/MPwasselectedasphasechangematerials(PCMs)tostoreenergyandPPwasthematrix.ThethermalregulatingfiberswerecharacterizedbyDSC,SEM,TGAandtensilestrengthtester.Theresultsshowthatthepropertiesofthefiberswhichhavethebestthermalpropertiesare:thelatentheatofmeltingandcrystallizingare21.70and20.69J/g;themeltingtemperaturerangeisfrom27.88to36.59℃;thecrystallizingtemperaturerangeisfrom29.36to12.63℃;thetensilestrengthis2.01cN/dtex;theelongationatbreakis11%.
