Inthisarticle,Poly(acrylonitrile-vinylacetate)/Clay[P(AN-VAC)/OMMT]nanocompositematerialswerepreparedbyemulsionintercalationcopolymerizationprocess.TheresultingnanocompsitematerialswerecharacterizedbyX-raydiffraction(XRD),transmissionelectronmicroscopy(TEM),thermo-gravimetricanalysis(TGA).Theresultprovedthattheorgano-montmorillonitecouldbeexfoliatedintoca.50nmthicknessanduniformlydispersedintheP(AN-VAC)matrixduringtheemulsionintercalationcopolymerizationprocess.
