Introductionintothepolymermatrixofnanosizemineralfillerscanincreasethephysicalandmechanicalpropertiesofobtainednanostructuredcomposites.Useofmontmorillonite(MMT)asfiller(nanofiller)forcreationofpolymericnanocompositeswithincreasedexploitationpropertieshasfoundanapplicationinup-to-datepolymerchemistry.LayeredstructureofMMTaswellastheabilityofitssurfaceforionexchangehaspromotedsuchapplication.Themainproblemarisingatpolyurethane/MMTnanocompositesobtainingistheachievementofoptimalcombinationbetweenorganic(polymer)andinorganic(mineral)parts.TheaboveproblemhasbeensettledbymodificationofMMTwithorganicmodifier.Thecommonlyusedmodificationisthemodificationbasedonthemechanismofionexchange,whentheionsofalkalimetalsontheMMTsurfacearebeingchangedtoorganicomumions(N+R4,P+R4).Inthispaperthenovelnanostructuredpolyurethanecompositeswithhighphysic-mechanicalindicesonthebasisofpolyurethaneureaandMMT,modifiedwithsynthesizedoligourethaneammoniumchloride,havebeenobtained.PresenceofurethanegroupsmnewmodifierallowsthesitesofmodifiedMMTtocombinewithpolyurethanematrixduetohydrogenbondsformation.Therefore,theperfectconditionsforcreationofhomogeneouspolyurethane/MMTsystemhavebeenachieved,inwhichtheenergyofintermolecularbondsissimilarforallcomponents.WhenthecontentofmodifiedMMTinnanocompositeamountst00.5wt%,thetensilestrengthincreasesupt045%(152MPa).Forcomparison,thesameindexofpolyurethanematrixamountst0105MPa.Alsowehaveobtainednewnanostructuredpolyurethaneacrylatecompositeswithhighphysic-mechanicalpropertiesonthebasisofpolyuurethaneacrylatesandMMTmodifiedwithsynthesizedinourlaboratoryoligourethanemethacrylateammoniumchloride.Thenewmodifiercontainstheurethaneandmethacrylategroupsthatmaybeinvolvedinthepolymerizationprocess.Theresultsofstudyingofphysic-mechanicalpropertiesofpolyurethaneacrylatenanocompositefilmshaveshownthatwhenthecontentofmodifiedMMTisequaledt07wt%,thetensilestrengthincreasesmorethantwice,comparedtothepolyurethanematrix.
