Thehigh-poweredbrazingdiamondsawwasdevelopedtocutvehicletyreefficiently.TheTi-coateddiamondandtheuncoateddiamondwerebrazedwithNiCralloybyhigh-frequencyinductionunderargonatmosphereat1020℃within10seconds.Theinterfacialmicrostructuresbetweenbrazeddiamondandthefilleralloywereanalyzedbyscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),X-raydiffraction(XRD)andenergydispersionspectrometer(EDS).ItissurprisedlyfoundthatCr-carbidesformscompactlyandnormallyonthesurfaceofTi-coateddiamondbrazed,whereasCrcarbideformslooselyandtangentiallyonthesurfaceofuncoateddiamondbrazed.TheabradeexperimentresultsforthebrazeddiamondsshowthatthebondstrengthbetweentheCr-carbideanduncoateddiamondbrazedislowerthanthenormallyformedCr-carbideandthediamond.Furthermore,thecausethatTichangesthemorphologyofCr-carbidesonthesurfaceofTi-coateddiamondbrazedisdiscussedbythefurtherteststhatarespeciallydesigned.
