简介：

Membranesbasedonsulfonatedpolysulfone(SPSF),phosphotungsticacid(PWA)andnano-silica(SiO2)wasprepared.ThesynthesizedSPSFwithadegreeofsulfonation(DS)of69.75%wasusedforpreparingallthecomposites.TheanalysesofprotonconductivityandmechanicalpropertiesofthemembranesrevealedthatPWAandSiO2producedabeneficialeffectonprotonconductionofthemembranes.Themembranewith20wt.%ofSiO2and13wt.%ofPWAismechanicallystableandhasprotonconductivityof0.15Scm-1at90°Cand100%relativehumidity.Thermogravimetricanalysis(TGA)showedthemembraneswerethermallystableuptoabout280°C.PWAandSiO2dopedSPSFisapromisingmaterialforprotonexchangemembraneaccordingtotheobtainedresults.
