W03loadedTi02nanotubearrayselectrodewaspreparedbycathodicelectrodepositingW03ontoTi02nanotubearrayssubstrateundersquarewaveformpulses,andthesubstratewasobtainedbypotentiostaticanodizationofTiinaggressivemedia(NH4F,H20,andGlycerol).Thesolutionforelectrodepositingconsistsinamixtureof5mMNa2W04,20mMH202and70mL40%isopropanolsolutionacidifiedatpHl.2byperchloricacidaddition.Squarewaveformpulseswereappliedonthesubstratewithcathodicpulsepotentialsof-0.24VvsSCEforW03deposition,withthepulsedurationof100ms,followedbyapotentialpulseatoVfor1000ms.Photoelectrochemicalcharacterization,microscopiccharacterizationandtheeffectofplatingparametersoncatalystactivitywerestudied.W03loadedTi02nanotubearrayselectrodedemonstrateda100%increaseinphotocurrentundervisiblelight(A=550nm)comparedtothatofthesubstratewithoutW03loading.TheenhancedphotocurrentwasduetotheexpandinginvisiblelightactivityandthesemiconductorbandcouplingbytheloadingofW03.Thelatterleadstoelectronandholetransferbetweenthetwomaterialsinoppositedirections,whicheffectivelyreducesthephotogeneratedelectron-holerecombinationrate[l].
