Inthiswork,maleicanhydride(MAH)wasblendedwithpoly(styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene)(SEBS)blockcopolymertoprepareMAH-g-SEBS.ThentheMAH-g-SEBScopolymerwasblendedwithexcessofliquid1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazineintwinscrewextrudertoprepareamine-functionalizedSEBScopolymer.Theamine-functionalizedSEBScopolymerwasusedascompatilizerofbisphenolApolycarbonate(PC)/SEBSblendswiththecompositonof80/20.TheintroductionofcompatilizerintoPC/SEBSblendsincreasedthebalancetorqueandtemperatureofblendsinHAAKEmixer.TheIzodimpactstrengthandtensilestrengthofPC/SEBSblendsincreasedsimultaneouslywiththeamountofcompatilizer.AndtheIzodimpactstrengthandtensilestrengthofblendsincreasedevidentlywhentheSEBScomponentinblendswasreplacedcompletelybythecompatilizer.
