Polylactide(PLA),asabiodegradablepolymer,isdrawingincreasingattentionduetoacademicandcommercialinterests.Meanwhile,thepreparationofpolymernanocompositeswithcarbonnanotubes(CNTs)hasalreadybeenprovedtobeaneffectivewaytomodifythepolymers[1-5].Therefore,thecombinationofPLAandCNTsisexpectedtoformnanocompositeswithenhancedproperties.However,thedispersionofmultiwalledcarbonnanotubes(MWNTs)inpolymermatrixisoneofthemostimportanttopicsforfabricatinghighperformanceMWNTs/polymercomposites.AhomogeneousdispersionofMWNTsandstronginterfacialinteractionsbetweenpolymermatrixandnanotubescaneffectivelyimprovethemechanicalandthermalperformancesofpolymermatrix.ThemainobjectiveofthisreportistoinvestigateMWNTsdispersioninPLAmatrixbyfunctionalizedMWNTswithfivehydroxyl-terminatedpolylactide(fh-PLA).
