Graftcopolymerizationisapracticalwaytoalterthephysicalandchemicalpropertiesofcellulose.,[1,2]ofwhichgraftingbiodegradablealiphaticpolyestersontocellulosehasattractedconsiderableinterestsbycombiningtheadvantagesofexcellentshapingandmoldingpropertiesandbiodegradationproperties.[3,4]Inourpreviousstudy,cellulose-g-PLLAcopolymerswithvariouscompositionsweresynthesizedinionicliquidsundermildconditions.Interestingly,somecellulose-g-PLLAcopolymerswithrelativelyhighMSPLLAwerefoundtobethermoplastic,whichmadeitpossibletopreparefibersorfilmsfromcellulosebymeltprocess.[
