Polypropylene-basedin-reactoralloys,withethylene-propylenerubbersastougheningagent,havebeenprovedtobesuperiorinimprovingtheinherentlypoorimpactresistanceofPP[1-4].TheintimateandhomogeneousdispersionofvariouscomponentswithinthePPmatrixovercomesthedifficultiesofsub-micrometersizemixingbyconventionalblendingtechnology.It’sevidentthatsuchtoughenedPPblendingsystemclearlyoutperformsthepreviouslyavailableolefinicmaterials,andhasgreatpotentialforapplicationinautomobilesandappliancesinreplacementoftraditionalhigh-performanceengineeringplasticsinthenearfuturefortheirlowercost,goodperformance,andrecyclability.
