Inthepast,thereportsaboutpolymer/claynanocompo-sitesmostlyfocusedonpolyamide,polystyrene,poly(methylmethacrylate),andpolypropylene[1].Nowadays,peopleshowtremendousinterestintherubber/claynanocomposites,whichcomparetotheneatrubberhavethestructureofindividualclaylayersuniformlydispersedinrubbermatrix,andexhibitexcellentmechanicalproperties.Theexfoliatednnocompositesalwaysshowsexcellentmechanical,thermalstability,flameretardant,gasbarrierproperty,wearresistance,solventresistanceandopticaltransparency[2-5].Themethodofpreparationofnanocompositesisasfollow:in-situpolymerization;solutionpolymerization;meltintercalation;co-coagulatingofrubberlatexandclayaqueoussuspension[6].Here,wepreparetherubber/claynanocompositeswiththeMMAmonomergraftedontotherubberchainthroughtheemulsionpolymerization.Comparedtotheothermethods,emulsionpolymerizationhasmanyadvantages,suchaslow-costprocess,reactionintheaqueousphase,adoptingfree-radicalinitiators,obtainingthehighermolecularweightpolymers
